Vision and Mission

When I'm small and ignorant,
I really don't know about Vision and Mission.
I only know that
they are some bullshits that created by schools, organizations, and corporations.

But..
when I grow to become better and better everyday,
finally I realized that they are so important.
Not only in corporations,
not only in organizations,
but they are obviously important in everyone life,
each of us.

Why?
Because..
Vision is like a shooting target,
and mission is a rifle.
Without target,
we don't know where to shoot,
and without a rifle,
we will only staring at the target.

Vision is like a compass,
and mission is a steer in a boat.
Without compass,
we don't know where to sail,
and without a steer,
we actually cannot drive the boat.

Vision is like an algorithm,
and mission is the implementation.
Without algorithm,
we don't know what program we want to write,
and without implementation,
we actually don't get the idea working in a real program.

Vision is theory,
and mission is practice.
Wothout theory,
we don't know the right way to do something,
we only guess that we are already doing the right thing.
Without practice,
we only know how to do something,
but we actually cannot do it.

Finally,
Vision is vision, our eyes.
Mission is muscle,
Without vision,
we will act like a blind.
Without mission,
we will act like a disabled.

Every successful person has vision and mission,
so he/she really knows what to achieve in his/her life.
Because a man without a vision is like a missing kite,
it go wherever the wind blows.

Every successful organization has vision and mission,
but they are written not to show that the organization has them,
they are written for one purpose,
to let everyone in that organization knows them,
and synchronize themselves with them.

THe importance is not that they are written,
they are just sentences.
The real importance is the meaning behind those sentences.

A gift is meaningful not because it is good and expensive,
but it's meaningful because the good intention of the giver.
Even a 'thank you' is not meaningful because it's a sweet sentence like 'thank you very much my friend',
a simple 'thanks' is often much more meaningful when it comes from ones deepest heart.

So, let's have a vision and mission in our hearts..

for everyone who needs..
